 Mutimedia Romanian-French-English Dictionary

Realized in collaboration with specialized teaching staff, the dictionary is an application elaborated especially for children and comprises around 1000 words.

  • Each entry is written and pronounced in all three languages and then a suggestive image is displayed for the respective word.
  • An exemplifying sentence is presented for each entry.
  • For very young learners who cannot read yet, there is the possibility to choose the word by recognizing the image in a movie. After choosing the word, the script begins to unwind.
  • Over 1000 words translated in three languages
  • Over 1000 High Color images, in BMP format
  • Over 1000 exemplifying sentences for the chosen words

There are 5 ways of using this software:

- It can be used in the traditional way, namely looking for an entry in the data base and when it is found, the script begins to unwind.
- An entry introduced in the data base can be selected
- An image from a film strip containing all the images corresponding to the entries in the data base can be selected. If one clicks on the image, the board corresponding to the respective word opens. This method makes the dictionary a easy to use tool even for those who cannot read yet.
- one can choose the random automatic presentation of the data base
- one can choose the the ordered presentation of the data base.

Each board has an option for listening to the word pronunciation as often as necessary.
