The education concerning the environment is a process aiming at improving the quality of life by providing the people with the "tools" they need in order to solve and prevent the environmental problems. The ecological education helps the preschool children acquire knowledge, habits, motivations, and in the future, values and the commitment necessary for them to manage efficiently the resources of the earth and to assume the responsibility for maintaining the quality of the environment
Children are an important public for the ecological education because they are the future managers and consumers of the resources, and in some cases, children may influence the parents and other members of the community. The educators may have a special impact, from increasing the awareness and knowledge to forming active attitudes on behalf of the ecological education.
By means of this CD, we are aiming both at transmitting knowledge in the field of ecological education and, particularly, at stimulating the children's interest in this and at awareness raising for the preschool children and even for the pupils in order for them to become responsible for the preservation of the environmental health.
