Infomedia Pro Infomedia Pro Bucharest, together with the Ministry of Education and Research, is inviting the teaching staff in the preschool education to capitalize their experience, creativity and playful spirit which they are showing by bringing them to support the younger colleagues and the children.
The "PitiClic" competition is addressed to all the teaching staff with an experience of minimum 5 years of working with the preschool children and consists of creating an interactive game scenario for computer, useful for both the children and the teaching staff recently employed in this field. Infomedia Pro Bucharest will use the materials sent for the achievement of the educational programmes within the series PitiClic.
The score granted to each competing scenario will be published on the site www.soft4kids.ro.

The teaching staff will mail the envelope with:

• the description of the idea of scenario (the story)
• the description of the interactivity of the child with the computer
• the messages, the assessments that the computer is sending to the child (both for success and failure)
• the argumentation from the didactic point of view

Eligibility criteria:

• Teaching staff with an experience of minimum 5 years;
• Originality of the idea;
• Possibility to transpose the idea into a computer programme;
• Didactic value;
• Interactivity of the child with the computer.

Selection criteria:

• Points are granted for:
  1. the existence of positive assessment messages;
  2. the existence of negative assessment messages;
  3. the alternate messages which would allow their random use in order to avoid monotony;
  4. treatment of all possible cases within one module in the scenario;
• In case there are equal scores, the scenario that arrived earlier at the editorial office, according to the mailing date, is situated in a superior place.

Stages of the competition:

1. receiving the scenarios - 1.11.2006 - 28.2.2007
2. selecting the scenarios - 1.3.2007 - 15.5.2007
3. awarding prizes to the scenarios - 16.5.2007 - 31.5.2007

Prizes of the competition:

• Ist prize - Euro 1000
• IInd prize - Euro 900
• IIIrd prize - Euro 800
• 2 honorable mentions - Euro 500 each

The evaluation commissions shall be composed of as follows:

• the selection from the didactic point of view will be carried out by 4 representatives of the Ministry of Education and Research.
• the selection from the point of view of the originality and interactivity will be carried out by 4 representatives of Infomedia Pro.

The benefits of the participation to the creation competition are major for both the teaching staff and the children or the parents. The teaching staff may show their work and results by means of the PitiClic series CDs. The parents may benefit from advice received from the teaching staff or the psychologists and may easily see what wonderful things are done in kindergartens. In all the PitiClic CDs, there is a section for teaching staff and parents where the most valuable materials sent to the Infomedia Pro editorial office may be inserted. They may be in a text format or as pictures accompanied by explanations from different special activities carried out in kindergarten. However, those who have most to win from this activity are the children who have access to CDs with dynamic and attractive games created according to the curriculum, checked by experienced teaching staff.
